Poetry
Padma Venkatraman's work made its first international appearance when a poem she had written at the age of ten was published in the Delhi London Poetry Quarterly. Nearly two decades later, poetry editor P. Lal, who had selected her work for publication in the quarterly, brought out her poetry collection, Paper Etchings. A limited special edition of this collection, printed by the Writer's Workshop, is available for purchase. The book is beautifully bound, with gold-embossed, hand-embroidered sari cloth.
Padma's poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals and magazines in Asia, America and Europe, such as Mobius, the Parnassus Literary Journal, Snowy Egret, and Wake Up India.
